Control Your PC – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
The short version
Control Your PC does not collect your screen, your keystrokes, or any personal information. We run no servers that your screen or typing passes through, we have no accounts, and we use no analytics, advertising or tracking. The only data involved is the subscription status described below.
How the app works
The app shows a screen that you run yourself. You install a small server program on your own computer, and the app connects to it directly over your own private Tailscale network. Your screen, keystrokes and files travel between your phone and your computer. They never pass through us.
What is stored, and where
- On your phone: the address of your computer, and, only if you choose "Keep me connected", your computer's username and password. These stay on your phone and are removed when you press Close.
- On your computer: the password you chose for the web app, and a secret used to sign you in. These stay on your computer.
- With us: nothing about your screen, typing or identity. Subscription status is held by RevenueCat and the store, as described above.
Subscriptions
Control Your PC is a paid subscription. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details. To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses a service called RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user identifier and the status of your purchase from the store. It does not receive your name, email, screen, or anything you type.
Third parties
The app uses Apple or Google for payments, RevenueCat to check subscription status, and to connect your devices. Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not send data to any other third party.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
